Day 1
Arrival in Kyrgyzstan and Transfer to Issyk-Kul

Depending on the flight schedule, you will arrive at Manas International Airport early in the morning. You will be welcomed by your guide and driver and proceed to have breakfast during the ride and enjoy the scenic views throughout the drive to the lake. Finally, you will be checked into your hotel that is situated by the lake. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax.

Issyk-Kul is often referred to as the "Pearl of Kyrgyzstan" because of its beauty. It is encircled by the Kungei Ala-Too and Terskey mountains and is a large and deep lake. The lake remains unfrozen even in the harshest winters which permits it to be called “hot lake.” It comes second to Baikal lake in cleanliness, as it is the second cleanest lake in the world. Like other areas around Issyk-Kul, its region is also blessed with wonderful scenic beauty along with fresh mountain air, health spas, and clean water. Full Day | Issyk-Kul

You will begin your day with breakfast at the hotel itself and then you will explore the sights in Cholpon-Ata. You are going to the Kyrgyz Ethnographical museum that is in the village along with the open-air Petroglyph Museum that displays ancient life in the form of human and animal rock paintings which may date back to thousands of years. You can also enjoy a boat ride at the Issyk-Kul lake if you wish.

This afternoon, you are going to the Ruh Ordo Cultural Center that illustrates different religions and ethnic cultures with its open air exhibits. This tranquil spot is the attainment of the famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov and was created for spirituality, thought and calm. Next step for the evening would be to go on an excursion to Semenovka gorge which is a beautiful valley with a powerful river and giant fir trees. In spring and summer, the area is colorful and filled with fragrant flowers. You may also witness ancient Kyrgyz yurts and have the opportunity to try local foods such as beshbarmak and koumiss. For those keen, horse riding can also be enjoyed. In the evening, you shall return to the hotel where you will spend the night.

Issyk-Kul to Bishkek via Burana Tower

Following breakfast, we will travel to Bishkek – the capital city of Kyrgyzstan. On the way, you will have a stopover at Burana Tower - a remarkable historic site as well as UNESCO World Heritage site. The tower is the last remaining relic of Balasagun, an ancient town containing remnants of the 9th century Karakhanid Empire. Don’t forget to check a small museum nearby that has archaeological treasures from the time of the Silk Road.

Navigation around Bishkek begins with a small city tour. Your guides will entertain you with stories based on local historical events as you are taken to places like Ala-Too Square, Oak Park, and Victory Square. Don’t worry folks, the State Historical Museum is in no danger of closing. Afterwards shuttle free for the rest of the time to do whatever it is you desire. We shall be returning to one of those nice hotels while in Bishkek for an overnight stay.

Departure from Bishkek
