After landing at airport you will meet our representative and transfer to your hotel stay the night. In the morning you will have breakfast; guide will pick you up for City tour City Tour. We will drive to The Green Bazaar is one of the oldest market in the city with over one hundred years of history. Until 1875 Green Bazaar was one of the major shopping places. Tourits visit this place to capture the atmosphere of an oriental market, purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, souvenirs and taste local foods, and here they can also get in touch with the ethich divide in Kazakhstan –here you can meet not just Kazakhs, but also Uzbeks, Tadjiks, while Russians and Koreans.
You can determine where a vendor is from by the products being sold – fresh dairy and meat are mostly offered by Kazakhs, tasty fresh/dried fruit and herb by Uzbeks and Tadjiks, spicy salads and snacks by Koreans and a whole variety of pickles and herbal tea by Russians. You will also have some time on your own to do some shopping. Next we will visit Rakhat Chocolate Shop. Rakhat Company is the biggest confectionery producer in Kazakhstan. Each production is based on the Soviet recipe and to Soviet GOST's.
After that we visit the old sector of Almaty: Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, dedicated to heroes who died for the freedom of the city of the Moscow. The park is a great local and visitor hangout and has loads of fascinating sites from that era of Soviet Kazakhstan. You’ll also get to see Ascension Cathedral, which is a beautiful building which was built in 1907. The cathedral was built without a single nail and it remained miraculously well preserved after the earthquake in 1911. The last place to visit will be the National Museum; Republic Square. Return to the hotel.
After Breakfast, guide will pick you at the hotel for a drive to the the Medeo tract. It is situated 1690 m above sea level. To get to there you will take eco taxi ride to the gondolas lift until Shymbulak Mountain resort. After a vertigo 20 minutes cable car riding above tops of firs trees, you get to the first tier of the mountain resort (2260 meters above sea level), where you will open a mountain beauty around and under you. In the mountain, you will feel like being at one with the nature. Drive back to hotel.
Have breakfast and then enjoy the drive to Kolsay Lake. On arrival, the tour will commence from the parking. You will start trekking to the late and can take around 1.5-2 hours. There are observation spot where can stop catch breathe while enjoying the spectacular views. The river which ends to the lake is cold – 6 degrees Celsius and it is allowed to swim. You should bring swimming wear if you want. After trekking you will meet the driver for transfer to Charyn Canyon. The drive will be around 1.5 - 2 hours.Upon arrival you will start have a walking tour from parking to see the gorge (trekking 3 km) and at the end of the valley is the Charyn river where you can take a cool breath with fresh air with good climate, for you to know of you don't want to walk back you can take a local taxi car from the end to the parking. Return back to hotel.
After breakfast guide we will drive to visit Alma–Arasan. It is a stunning mountain gorge featuring flowing river. Tourists flock here to see the hot springs situated at an altitude of 1827 meters above sea level. No matter what time of year, you can visit the simply wellness area and take in the healing fumes of sulphurous thermal springs. Then we come to the kingdom of the limpid air, hospitality, and unending delight. The Kok Tobe Park is the major attraction in Almaty and Kazakhstan. The park is located at the summit of Mountain Kok Tobe standing 1100 meters above sea level. For an extra payment there is a variety of entertainment in the park for both adults and children, a zoo, a Ferris wheel, restaurants, an exotarium. Return to the hotel.
You check out of the hotel by 00:50 and guide will drop you off at Almaty International Airport (ALA) for departure.
