Visit the Takin Preserve, Buddhist monasteries, colorful craft bazaars and monumental buildings, including the Tashichho Dzong. Then explore the former capital of Punakha situated over mountain passes and past 108 chortens at Dochula Pass, which has sweeping views of the Himalayas. Visit the grand Punakha Dzong and holy Chimi Lhakhang temple. Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Paro and Drive to Thimphu

Once you land at the Paro International Airport you will meet the local Bhutanese guide who will warmly welcome you to beautiful Bhutan and then guide you to your private airport transfer. Next take a drive to Thimphu which will approximately take 1.5 hours.During the Thimphu city tour you will be able to visit various locations such as Tamchog Lhakhang, a temple built by legendary bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo and finally an ancient iron chain suspension bridge to reach the temple. Next check in to your hotel. In the evening walk through the main street of Thimphu and enjoy the local crafts bazaar.

Thimphu Guided City Tour

On day 2, enjoy a full day guided city tour where we will be visiting a wide range of unique attractions such as the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to world peace and Bhutan’s third king,Buddha Dordenma which is a giant 51 meter statue,the Changangkha Lhakhang,Takin Preserve to see the national animal of Bhutan,National Institute for Zorig Chusum,Folk Heritage Museum ,Textile Museum and finally6 Tashichho Dzong which is the seat of government and monastic body.

Thimphu to Punakha

On day 3, take a drive to Punakha which will approximately take 3 hours and we will most probably stop at the pass to admire 108 chortens and Himalayan views depending on the weather condition. During this tour you will be visiting various locations such as the Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong,etc.

Punakha to Paro

On day 4, take a drive to Paro along with a stop for lunch and some local village visits. After all the visitings check in to your hotel in Paro. Next visit Ta Dzong which is the National Museum that is housed in a former watchtower and finally don’t forget to check out the Rinpung Dzong which is a 17th century Buddhist Monastery.

Paro Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

On day 5, have an early breakfast at the hotel before beginning the hike to Taktsang Monastery which is also known as the Tiger’s Nest. The hike will take about 2 or 3 hours to get to the tiger’s nest.

Guided City Tour to Chele La Pass

On day 6, take a morning drive to Chele La Pass which is the highest motorable road in Bhutan at 3,988 meters. Next visit Mount Jomolhari and the Haa Valley and enjoy the rest of the day.

Departure from Paro

On day 7, which is your final day in Bhutan. After breakfast check out from the hotel and your airport transfer will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off at the Paro International Airport in time for you to board the return flight to Dubai.
