Explore one of Dubai’s golden oldie neighbourhoods with an exciting 1.5-hour guided Al Fahidi District Heritage tour. Make your way to Al Fahidi area situated in Al Bastakiya district and drop by at the Ruler’s Court Mosque. Experience a cultural question and answer session at the SMCCU.
Go back in time when Dubai was just a desert village without its innovative buildings and record-breaking achievements by exploring the Al Fahidi Historical District. Meet up at the windtower house of Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU). Head inside and be greeted with a steaming cup of Arabic coffee served with dates before roaming the area with your skilled guide. Observe some of the last remaining windtower houses in the entire Dubai while learning more about history and architecture of the Dubai Creek area. Follow your guide to the Ruler’s court mosque, a place open only for SMCCU guests and experience a discussion with your guide about the importance of a mosque in the Emirati lifestyle. Return to SMCCU for a cup of Arabic coffee with dates and ask any question that crosses your mind. Learn more about how the centre strives in erasing any cultural barriers and helps guests in understanding their interesting culture.
