Collect all the required documents and fill out an application form for the visa. The visa may take some time to be processed, so you should apply earlier than your intended travel dates.

01 How to Apply for a South Korean Visa from the UAE?

To apply for a South Korean visa, book an appointment from the official booking website. After that, visit the South Korean embassy or consulate in the UAE on your confirmed appointment date and fill out the visa application form.

Ensure that you have all the required documents and pay the visa application fee.

02 Who can apply for a South Korea Visa from UAE?

Below are the individuals who can apply for a South Korean visa through the consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai :

  • Citizens of the UAE
  • Non-UAE citizens with a UAE residence visa with remaining validity of over six months, and for some nationalities, the applicants must have had a UAE residence visa continuously in the most recent two years
  • Previously rejected applicants who have waited at least three months from the last denial

Applicants with Abu Dhabi and Al Ain visas can apply for visas via the Korean Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

03 What Are The Required Documents

The following documents are compulsory when applying for a South Korean tourist visa from UAE:


  1. A filled visa application form. Please fill out the form online (e-form) and print it out

  2. Original and copy of your passport valid at least six months from the travel date

  3. A copy of your UAE residence visa, valid for at least six months from the application date. If you have a virtual visa stamp, download the visa from the ICP UAE app and print it.

  4. The original and copy of your Emirates ID

  5. A no-objection letter from the UAE visa sponsors with your full name, passport number, nationality, position, and salary. The letter should also mention your purpose of visit and have the name of the authorized signatory, contact information, original stamp, and signature.

  6. An original and copy of your previous UAE visa to prove your continuous residency for two years in the UAE if you are a nationality of the following nations: Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, China, Cuba, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Senegal, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Macedonia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Palestine, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Syria, Thailand, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Yemen.

  7. The original and latest three months' bank statement with Bank statement. If you have a financial sponsor, please attach the financial support letter, passport copy of the sponsor, proof of relationship with the sponsor, and the latest three months' stamped UAE bank statement.

  8. Your South Korea itinerary

  9. Confirmed hotel booking

  10. Round trip ticket

Additional documents may be requested if the consulate deems it necessary for visa evaluation.

The documents must be in English or Korean only, so if it is written in any other language, get them translated first, then submit both documents.

04 What is the South Korea Visa Fees from UAE?

The cost for a single entry visa valid for less than 90 days is AED 160. For a double entry and multiple entry visa valid for less than 90 days, you will be charged AED 280 and AED 360, respectively.

The single entry visa valid for over 90 days’ costs AED 240, while the double entry and the multiple entry visa valid for over 90 days costs AED 280 and AED 360, respectively.

The consulate accepts Exact Cash only; no change or cards are accepted.

The visa fee is not refundable whether the application is granted or denied.

South Korean visa processing takes 14 calendar days from the day the application was submitted. A visa cannot be processed in less than 14 days, no matter the urgency of the visa.

Your passport will be kept by the consulate during the whole process, but in case you need it for other important issues, you can withdraw the passport after a week from the day you submitted it.

Key Notes

The Korean Consular in the UAE has temporarily stopped accepting appointment requests until the new online booking system is opened on June 19, 2023.

The appointment slots are currently all taken till the end of June. Walk-ins are not allowed at the consular.

You may be denied entry to South Korea even if you have a valid Korean visa when an immigration officer finds some requirements inadequate after their inspection.
